AmTTech And Machine Tool Specialties Sign On With Grob Systems
Associated Machine Tool Technologies, Inc. (AmTTech), of Houston, TX, and Machine Tool Specialties of Tulsa, OK, signed distribution agreements with Grob Systems, Inc. to exclusively represent Grob products in the State of Texas and Oklahoma, respectively.
Their primary focus will be to market and exhibit Grob’s new offering of standard machine tools, the G Series lineup of 5- axis horizontalmachining Centers, to their extensive client bases statewide.
AmTTech is headquartered in Houston, TX, with a second location inArlington, TX.AmTTech has over 40,000 square feet of office/warehouse space including over 11,000 feet of state-of-the-art showroom between the two locations.
“We were interested in expanding our productmix in order to better serve our diverse group of clients,” said Jack Butts, AmTTech’s founder and President.
“We investigated virtually every 5-axis machining center currently on the market and from our perspective the Grob product line best supports our business model and philosophy. For the last 19 years we have been working with our clients in Texas to improve their profitability by partnering with AmTTech for the sales, service and support of their CNC machine tools.
Traditionally this relationship begins from the moment an AmTTech sales representative begins to work with a client on a machine tool need and continues as long as our client requires service and support in order to keep their CNC equipment in optimum chip-making condition. We have the ability and expertise to provide machine tool recommendations, solutions in and for manufacturing process, detailed time studies, application support and training aswell as on-going service support. From our viewpoint Grob Systems offers the same level of services, this being said they are a natural fit forAmTTech aswell as our loyal following of satisfied customers.” “We expect to have a Grob G350 HMC on the floor in our Houston Productivity Center in the very near future,” said Jack Butts, “thus allowing our clients to see first hand a demonstration of an incredibly accurate,American- built, German-engineered, 5-axis HMC. The G Series is a purpose-built 5- axis format, with three axes of movement (Y +A& B) on the table. This very unique design minimizes potential tool interference, improves work piece accessibility by allowing the table and part to be completely inverted during the machining process and directly addresses the inherent issue of chip flow and buildup. We (AmTTech) pride ourselves on being able to provide literally everything a customer could possibly need when it comes to chip-making CNC machine tools. Now, with the Grob G Series added to our product mix, I feel our ability to offer solutionsbased support to our existing, as well as future customers, is second to none.” For more information contact: Robert Ruelle, Account Director of Standard Machines Grob Systems Inc. 1070 Navajo Drive Bluffton, OH 45817 419-369-2955 info@us.grobgroup.com www.grobgroup.com/en/

H&R Mfg. And Supply, Inc. Expands Capabilities
H&R Mfg. And Supply, Inc., an industry leader in workholding, manufactures custom designed and standard products for all workholding needs.
H&R has expanded its product offering recently by adding many heavy duty products such as its new low-profile, extra heavy-duty boring mill jaws.
H&R has also expanded its manufacturing capabilities. Even in a down economy, H&R is looking to expand by recently adding a new Accutex 6-axis Capablewire EDMmachine aswell as a new 40 taper Johnford CNCmill. Since this is the first EDM machine for H&R, they wanted a flexible and highly-optioned machine to suit current and future needs. TheAccutexAU-300-I EDM Machine was their choice. It has a table workspace of 13.8” X, 9.8” Y and 8.7” in Z height. H&R also bought the PEPS EDM wire cut software CAD-CAM system for this machine.
“TheAccutex EDMhasmany bonus features including a flushing operation where the machined part doesn’t have to be submerged to bemachined,” said a company spokesperson. “The Accutex EDM also has an automatic wire threading operation which will allow H&R to return to the cutting operation faster than most traditional machines.
H&R is looking to expand its own process through better accuracy aswell as provide customers with complex part machining capabilities that will hold 0.00004 inches. The true 5-axis machine capability will allow us to do many odd shapes and angles with a one-time cut rather than the traditional straight line 3-axis thatmany othermachines provide.” For more information contact: Derek Hivnor H&RManufacturing & Supply Inc. 12400 Rose Road Willis, TX 77378 936-856-5529 Fax: 936-856-8550 dlhivnor@hrmfg.com www.hrmfg.com
