The new 5,000 square-foot show- room features extensive tooling and demonstration displays from BIG Kaiser’s complete product lineup. In- house machining centers allow the showroom to double as a resource cen- ter for customer demos and training. BIG Kaiser Opens New Corporate Headquarters
BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. has announced the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Hoffman Estates,

The new 10,000 square-foot warehouse contains BIG Kaiser’s extensive product inventory, allowing for minimized shipping time and cost to customers.

Mazak Spring R3 Event March 16-17
Mazak has announced a two-day R3 event at its Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL. Built around the theme “Refocus. Rediscover. Reinvent.” (R3), the event will build upon the principles introduced by Mazak in late 2009. The R3 event will be held from 8:30 AM - 6 PM on March 16-17 and will feature a wide array of speakers, seminars and technology demonstrations
Doug Woods, president of the AMT, will serve as the event’s keynote speaker on both days. Brian Papke, president of Mazak Corporation, and Ben Schawe, Mazak’s vice president of manufacturing, will both also be providing presentations at the event.
During the two-day event attendees will have the opportunity to hear from representatives from a wide variety of Mazak’s strategic partners. Kennametal, Sandvik Coromant, LNS, Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Renishawand SMWwill be holding presentations during the R3 event. Technical seminars will be offered on topics including automation systems, multi-tasking solutions, optimizing turning operations, Done-in- One machining and probing strategies.
Cutting demonstrations will be held on horizontal, vertical andmulti-tasking machining centers. The National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) has announced it has selected two sites for Contract Purchasing Fairs for 2010. The fairs will be co-sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA).
