Her education includes a BA in psychology and a master’s in educational coun- seling, both from the University of Oklahoma, and a master’s in library science from the University of North Texas in 1997. She joined the Plano Public Library System in 1994 and knows the system well, having worked as a librarian in several positions and in several of our libraries. Cathy’s family includes her hus- band, Terry, and adult children Jane and Sean, daughter-in-law Ann, and twin 1-year-old grandsons. Directors who preceded Cathy were Maribelle Davis, until 1999, and Joyce Baumbach, from 1999–2010. Summing up her remarks, Cathy said, “I am passionate about the value of library service to our community. Our community really supports library service. We are vital to the quality of life in Plano.
