My First Sale comes to North Texas… are you are getting ready to sell your first home?
Want to add a little entertainment to the process?
Then HGTV’s prime-time show My First Sale might be for you. Producers tell us they are looking for fun, high-energy people (and their real estate agents) who are just starting the process of selling their first house.
They further explained, “our cameras will be there to capture all the trials and tribulations, stress and success of prepping for sale, pricing, negotiating, and ultimately selling a home for the first time. Ideal candidates will be motivated, financially candid people who want to share the experience and the purchase details with HGTV and their audience.” if selected to appear on an episode of My First Sale, home sellers will receive a DVD copy of the episode—not a financial windfall, but a memorable experience to treasure.

TechAmerica is the leading voice for the U.S. technology industry, which is the driving force behind productivity growth and jobs creation in the United States. Representing approximately 1,500 member companies of all sizes, this is now the industry’s largest advocacy organization.
TechAmerica is governed by 12 regional councils. Plano resident Alan Bratton has been appointed to serve on the board of directors for the Texas Regional Council (which actually represents eight states). Bratton is the CEO of Paranet Solutions, an IT infrastructure systems integration and consulting firm. As a board member, he will be involved in council governance and provide oversight and support of council initiatives. To learn more about TechAmerica, visit techamerica.org. Wheelin’ and dealin’… The maker of those popular shoes with wheels, Heelys, Inc., is rolling out a new product this summer. From their headquarters in Carrollton, the company announced the launch of the Hx2.
Heelys, which already generates over $70 million annually, is looking for this new product to reel in a younger market with a product designed especially for them. The Hx2 has two removable wheels in each shoe, making it easier to maintain balance. As they get the hang of skating, the Hx2 can be converted into a regular pair of Heelys for a more challenging ride by removing one of the wheels. Pop out both wheels and the Hx2 becomes a regular street shoe.
“We’re confident that our young customers here will find the Hx2 both easy to use and lots of fun,” said Tom Hansen, CEO of Heelys. He added, “We’ve had many requests from parents for our products in larger sizes, so that they can be part of the fun with their kids.” Parents can watch for the debut of Hx2 in adult sizes this fall.
