MENTAL HEALTH, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH and COUNSELING Th e purpose of the Behavioral Health Reference is to provide referral information for older adults and adults with disabilities who may need to access mental health or counseling services in Northeast Oklahoma. Th e agencies listed are funded in a variety of ways and most accept private insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. Some of the agencies receive special funding for low income clients through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Th e services off ered are primarily offi ce-based; however, several organizations provide home-based services to older adults and adults with disability who prefer and are successfully able to stay in their own homes.
